dc.descriptionWe make a first application of the linear gravitational potentials of the conformal gravity theory to the distance scale associated with clusters of galaxies, with the theory being found to give a reasonable value for the mean velocity of the virialized core of the typical Coma cluster, with no need to invoke the existence of dark matter.
