| dc.description | We critically reexamine the gravitational scattering of scalar particles on a global monopole studied recently. The original investigation of Mazur and Papavassiliou is extended by considering different couplings of the scalar field to the space-time curvature and by varying the dimension of the space-time where the Klein-Gordon (KG) field lives. A universal behavior of the leading term in the scattering amplitude as a function of this dimension is revealed. | |
