| dc.description | This article is a brief review of the research by Dr. C. de Jager and co-workers over the past twenty years into the physics of hypergiant atmospheres. Various important results on the microturbulence, mass-loss, circumstellar environment, atmospheric velocity fields, and the Yellow Evolutionary Void of these enigmatic stars are summarized. Aspects of recent developments and future work are also communicated. | |
