| dc.description | We introduce a new mathematical framework for the probabilistic description of an experiment on a system of any type in terms of information representing this system initially. Based on the notions of an information state and a generalized observable, this framework allows us to subsume different types of randomness and experiment effects within a single mathematical structure. Adjusting this framework to the quantum case, we clarify what is really "quantum" in quantum measurement theory. | |
