dc.descriptionWe modify the standard Wilson action of SU(3) lattice gauge theory by adding an extra term which suppresses colour magnetic currents. We present numerical results of simulations at zero and finite temperature and show that colour magnetic currents strongly influence the confining properties of SU(3) lattice gauge theory.
