dc.descriptionThe role of the gauge invariance in noncommutative field theory is discussed. A basic introduction to noncommutative geometry and noncommutative field theory is given. Background invariant formulation of Wilson lines is proposed. Duality symmetries relating various noncommutative gauge models are being discussed.
