dc.descriptionUsing Lie symmetry methods for differential equations we have investigated the symmetries of a Lagrangian for a plane symmetric static spacetime. Perturbing this Lagrangian we explore its approximate symmetries. It has a non-trivial first-order approximate symmetry.
