| dc.description | A systematic study of particle production at large transverse momentum with the PHENIX experiment at RHIC is shown. We demonstrate that the suppression of the yield of high p_T hadrons in central Au+Au collisions compared to the scaled p+p reference persists up to highest p_T for neutral pions and eta mesons. A similar suppression pattern is also observed in Cu+Cu collisions at the same energy. In addition we present the first RHIC results on high-p_T particle production close to SPS energies. | |
