dc.descriptionThe procedure "Lie group --> Lie algebra" has a generalization "simplicial manifold --> L_infinity algebra", or yet better, "presheaf on the category of surjective submersions --> L_infinity algebra". We describe this generalization, together with its higher-order extensions.
