dc.descriptionWe provide a heuristic explanation for the emergence of worldsheet fermions in the continuum limit of some matrix models. We also argue that turning on Ramond-Ramond flux confines the fermionic degrees of freedom of the Ramond-Neveu-Schwarz formalism.
