dc.descriptionWe show experimentally the existence of bright and dark spatial solitons in a passive quantum-well-semiconductor resonator of large Fresnel number. For the wavelength of observation the nonlinearity is mixed absorptive/defocusing. Bright solitons appear more stable than dark ones.
