dc.descriptionIn this paper we investigate the elastic properties of the vortex lattice for a superconducting film of finite thickness. We derive an analytic expression for the compression modulus. The shear modulus is evaluated numerically by using both the Pearl interaction potential, valid in the limit of very thin film, and a potential for films of arbitrary thickness. A comparative study of the shear moduli is carried out.
