dc.descriptionWe have obtained high resolution optical spectroscopy of the accretion disc corona source 2S0921--630 (=V395 Car) that constrains the spectral type of the companion star to be most probably K0III. At 6500A the secondary star is found to contribute ~25% to the observed flux. The absorption line spectrum of the K0III companion star is broadened (compared to template stars) by a projected rotational velocity of 65+/-9 km/s (1 sigma).
