dc.descriptionThe idea of saturation of parton densities in small x physics is briefly introduced. Some aspects of saturation are described, mainly focusing on the status of our knowledge on the non-linear equations describing the high parton density regime. Implications of saturation ideas on the description of nuclear collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider are discussed.
