| dc.description | Take a bounded symmetric domain $D$ and an arithmetic subgroup $Γ$ of ${\rm Aut}(D)$. Take the quotient $D/Γ$, compactify and resolve the singularities. We study the fundamental group of the compact complex manifolds that result from this procedure, and in particular the case of Siegel modular threefolds. | |
