dc.descriptionWe consider the scaling limits for a one-dimensional random growth model, the weakly asymmetric single step Solid-on-Solid process. We show that the fluctuation field, if considered in an appropriate (long) space-time scale, solves the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation.
