| dc.description | We discuss the near-threshold behavior of the $ω$ production amplitude in the reaction $π^-p \to ωn$. In contrast to the results of earlier analyses we find that the averaged squared matrix element of the production amplitude must be a decreasing function of energy in order to describe the existing experimental data. | |
