dc.descriptionBy introducing the concepts of asymptopia and bi-asymptopia, we show how braided tensor C*-categories arise in a natural way. This generalizes constructions in algebraic quantum field theory by replacing local commutativity by suitable forms of asymptotic Abelianness.
