dc.descriptionN--body + hydrodynamical simulations of formation and evolution of galaxy groups in a LambdaCDM cosmology have been performed. The properties of the galaxy populations in 12 groups are here discussed, with focus on the colour-magnitude relation in both normal and fossil groups.
