dc.descriptionThe conventional Wigner function is inappropriate in a quantum field theory setting because, as a quasiprobability density over phase space, it is not manifestly Lorentz covariant. A manifestly relativistic variant is constructed as a quasiprobability density over trajectories instead of over phase space.
