It is shown that both strongly coupled QED and QCD undergo a chiral symmetry restoring phase transition as the temperature is increased. We go beyond the bare vertex or "rainbow" approximation by applying the finite-temperature Ward-Takahashi identity to constrain the non-perturbative vertex function.Talk given at Fourth Workshop on Quantum Chromodynamics, 1-6 June 1998, The American University of Paris, Paris, France. 9 pages, 3 Postscript figuresHigh Energy Physics - PhenomenologyNon-Perturbative QED and QCD at Finite Temperaturetext
