Starburst galaxies with an age of the burst in the range between 3 and 6 Myr have been observed and new detections of Wolf-Rayet galaxies are reported. We discuss the origin of high excitation nebular lines observed in these galaxies and their possible link with the population of Wolf-Rayet stars.7 pages + 4 Postscript figures.
