Assuming this is true in case of SU(2) gluodynamics, we look for hints on the dual variables from the lattice simulations. Two-dimensional vortices, or branes with recently established properties seem to be most natural candidates. The total area of the branes scales in the physical units while the non-Abelian action is ultraviolet divergent. The branes are populated with magnetic monopoles, or tachyonic mode.12 pages.
