A theoretical analysis shows that nonlinear thermal and electromagnetic dissipative waves (structures) may be formed under certain conditions on the sample surface. The structures possess a finite-amplitude and propagate at a constant velocity. The possibility of experimental observation of thermomagnetic shock waves is briefly discussed.25 Pages, LaTEX file, 4 Figures, PS fileSuperconductivityTermomagnetic shock waves in the vortex state of type-II superconductorstext
