We discuss the possibility that such a source can be produced in the accreting neutron star system 2S 1417-624 through the bombardment of the accretion disk by relativistic protons accelerated in the magnetosphere by the Cheng-Ruderman mechanism.Presented at 5th INTEGRAL Workshop: The INTEGRAL Universe, Munich, Germany, 16-20 Feb 2004.
